TV reveals kill off their characters for lots of causes. Sometimes the actors are prepared to maneuver on, generally the writers are attempting to pump up the scores with a dramatic dying, and generally their palms are tied by the supply materials they’re adapting.
Still, irrespective of how ready we’re for the inevitable deaths of our faves, there are some that persist with us perpetually. These are probably the most devastating TV deaths of all time.

This list is missing Coach from Cheers, and Quentin from The Magicians. Peaches and Plums 🙁
VILANELLE. From Killing Eve. Just awful. And poorly written.
Tuco's death in breaking bad
Gus in Lonesome Dove?? That tops all of these.
Welcome to Watchmojo!
Det Joss Carter from Person of Interest should have been on this list. By the end of the episode, HR was defeated with most of its people dead, in jail, or running. It should have been time for the POI team to celebrate. Instead, one of the main villains strikes for payback, killing Joss and heavily wounding John. How many shows would kill off a beloved main character to cap off an episode with no warning?
wheres wallace string? wheres wallace ?
Roy Fokker, Robotech.
How is Charlie from LOST not on this list?
Jane death breaking bad
Mike's grandma in Suits? Rita in Dexter…come on people!
Poussay Washington's death was awful 😥

Glenn’s death 💀
Lem's death on The Shield should absolutely be on this list. THE most devastating TV death ever.
Elsa Dutton death in 1883
Spoilers galore!
Joyce Summers' death hits the hardest because it feels so real. No unnecessary lead up, no dramatic death scene, just a young woman coming home and finding her mother, the only truely sane person in her life, sprawled out on the couch staring lifelessly into the void.
You didn't show the one death that hit me the hardest, the series finale of Supernatural. After 15 seasons of having those boys in my livingroom once a week, I'm still not over it.
Fred's death is still the hardest episode of television to watch for me that hurt so much
The one that hit the hardest was for sure Seymour
… Miller from The Expanse, season 2 episode 4.
Bobby Simone, NYPD Blue????
What's the show all the way on the right side in the click image?
when sylar killed peters brother
Frieza killin krillin
When ice t's chick blew up eddie in ny undercover. Show was never the same
Glen on twd hurt that was probably the worst one
That Joyce Summers death just made me cry all over again.
Haven’t seen it for like 25 years.
But the emotions came flooding back !
When you fire most of your employees and keep the unpaid interns.
How to spoil 4 things in one thumbnail. Nice one
Where is Villanelle
For me it was Gordon in Halt and Catch Fire
Lem from The Shield should be on here.
Yeah, the most devastating death in "Game of Thrones" is Hodor, not the "Red Wedding". You're clowns, IGN. Literal clowns.
Roz on LA Law. Most hilarious. Look it up.
Regarding Hodor, Summer hit me harder in that same scene.
Glenn's Death was the point of no return of the shows viewer ratings and popularity
Jirah in naruto😱😱😱
Lost – the first season many were my favourite they died
The walking dead – episode 7 the most Devastating
