PS Plus Premium subscribers have a grand total of 20 games they could claim today, 16 of which are made available via the PS Plus Extra subscription as well. The remaining four are all PS Plus Premium games, but they are not the traditional PS1, PS2, or so forth additions. No, each game is a PS4 remaster or re-release, but still, it’s a strong line-up for PS Plus subscribers.
In addition to the games added to the higher tiers today, both PS Plus Extra and PS Plus premium subscribers can still claim the PS Plus free games for September 2023 should they wish. These include Saints Row, Black Desert: Traveler Edition, and Generation Zero, and while each of these games is far from the most popular title on the PlayStation console, it’s worth noting that many fans seem to be enjoying Saints Row. Indeed, Saints Row‘s launch did not go well and the game was largely controversial (if for the wrong reasons), but the recent shutdown of the studio did not do its addition any favors. At least, it seems many fans are playing Saints Row thanks to PS Plus.

Joining the selection via PS Plus Premium are Dragon’s Crown Pro, Star Ocean First Departure R, Star Ocean: The Last Hope – 4K & FHD Remaster, and Star Ocean: Till the End of Time, interestingly ensuring that there are five Star Ocean games available on PS Plus.

Overall, it’s a pretty solid month and fans have plenty to dive into, especially considering the number of standard releases hitting this month and in October too. Of course, should a PS Plus subscriber not really vibe with any of these, October is just around the corner. Fans can expect Sony to reveal the PS Plus free games for October 2023 rather soon.
