Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities Video Review

Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities premieres on Netflix on Oct. 25, 2022. Review by Kenneth Seward Jr.

Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities presents horror followers a number of distinctive thrills. While the numerous monsters are nicely designed, it is the creepy environment and haunting visuals that often promote the horror. Most of what’s introduced is conceptually sound and the solid of every episode present some stable performances. That stated, the uneven high quality of the tales proves that even del Toro couldn’t escape the difficulties sometimes related to horror anthologies. Some episodes are actually higher than others.

  1. Rating something like this as a whole is dumb. What does a 7 mean? Are there episodes better than a 7? Worse? Each episode is a different story made by different people. Why not review the actual episodes?

  2. Glad we have IGN who know what they're talking about and make critiques that have substance. Feel sorry for people who listen to those who just jump on the bandwaggon and argue with how much they just disagree with IGN.
