  1. The ending was perfect. Faye set Kratos, not just Atreus on his own journey. When Kratos tells Atreus near the end of the game “open your heart to it” it’s a message to Atreus but also a message to HIMSELF. It’s Kratos opening his heart to empathy and compassion for others. He understands that he ISN’T just a monster- he can be more, and through the journey Faye sends him on, through his son, through Mimir, the Huldra brothers and Freya- that there is more to him, he’s more than a monster or killing machine and that he can show and feel love. Totally perfect.
