Horizon forbidden west my GOTY
Wth where is plague tale, horizon, xenoblade? Im leaving watching gamespot content
In the God of War segment
"it is set millions of years ago"
How long do you think humans have existed?
Very happy that Pentiment got on there😁
ER GOTY
The guy could’ve been more discreet about Tunic. Could’ve just said there is something at the end that makes you want to replay it.
God of War, Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West. 3 games that moved me as a game deeply. Three I will never forget.
You’re all wonderful people and I hope everyone at IGN has a fantastic holiday 🧡
Pentiment : happy to hear such praise of that game, which I bought but have not played yet. I am a fan of Obsidian, Josh Sawyer and teaching History.
I think people need to understand that this is each person’s personal GOTY. People saying their game missed out, well that’s just cause these select people liked other games more.
6.00 dude what is that? Unprofessional.
I truly love Ragnarök and Requiem with a passion, but but Forbidden West is my personal GOTY.
It is an all time great for me. Everything has blended together for a true masterpiece. Gameplay, graphics, soundtrack, performance, quests, customization, skills, voice acting… I've spent hours just in the photo mode alone, this open world is truly breathtaking.
It's been a blast exploring the map and taking everything in. Even the side quests that I've done have been really fun. Aloy has really grown on me since the first game.
Forbidden West was a masterpiece smh
'Throw the controller out of love'. Had never considered that!
I'm black. How the heck does GoW talk about systems of oppression?
It doesn't imho. And that's not a bad thing. Odin does not represent some racial oppressor. Thats reading into it way too much
Gaming journalism at its best. Truly all encompassing vg year end review.
Sad to see Plague Tale didn't make the list. That game can stand up purely on it's story, it's really underrated by all the major outlets.
Mediocre year hopefully next year will be much better for everyone.
Interestingly enough the Gamespot crew look like they were playing Video Games for a year 👾😂 !
6:00 you didn't have to spoil the game to express your thought or opinion. That's bad business and totally unprofessional.
Pentiment! Let's go!
Pentiment is so good! Thanks for including it
Here within an hour
Is this in no particular order
GOW as GOTY! Just not a souls fan. GOW has such a great story, characters, action & combat. It's a masterpiece. And no I'm not just a sony fanboy. I have all 3 systems. Just think GOW is better than Elden Ring.
Stray, Plague Tale and Forbidden West among others would like a word. Granted these lists are often used to push lesser known indie games that deserve a bit more attention.
Ninja Turtles 🐢 Shredder’s Revenge is the awesomeness fun I had with a game in 22!
With the exception of a few games, this is arguably the worst “best of 22” games list I’ve seen so far
And you left Stray out of the list?…..Shame on You, Gamespot
Bruh, Trashnarok is here but not Xenoblade Chronicles 3? Ok
Not having Dwarf Fortress on your list is an absolute travesty.
Elden Ring was awful. Any game that uses lazy roll dynamics in combat is just horrible.
norco looks intruiging, gonna put that on my wishlist
Awesome stuff 🙂
For me 2022 goty is definitely Elden Ring for so many reasons.
Indie goty is There Is No Light.
2023 looks incredibly stacked, excited to see what comes out.
Happy holidays and Merry Christmas GameSpot
You can’t be serious putting Marvel Snap in the top games of the year
Im jus happy to see Stray was part of the game awards.
Ragnarok should've been GOTY hands down. No way some game with like no story or plot development beats it smh

I feel like Sonic Frontiers deserves to be here especially since it's the first great Sonic game we've had in over a decade…
👍👍
