Looks great, definite update with textures. As for the comparison clip, the contrast is off. The old game was very dark like the below which would reduce the impact. Basically someone has deliberately brightened the old clip to make the new clip look more impressive

Game’s not out but so far Callisto’s enemies are scarier. The necromorphs just look bouncy and goofy.

The new lighting engine genuinely makes it look so much scarier, the way it bounces off the environment and enemies is spooky

I’m still concerned how Isaac didn’t react to Chen's death, like he just stood there, it breaks the immersion. Besides that it’s still a great remake

The remake looks fantastic! The original definitely holds up well with such well done environmental design even if lighting and textures can be a bit flat. As a huge fan of the original, the remake is exciting.

Most unneeded remake EVER

Everyone is complaining how this isn’t necessary and they won’t change much, they said they’re adding some cut content to the game so that plus visuals 1000x better than the original is worth it, is it $60-70 worth it, only time will tell but it still isn’t worth dismissing

Man the original still looks great. Only difference seems to be HDR for the most part. Just darker darks and brighter lights. The top one does look a bit washed out and grey.
