Inspired by the 1985 true story of a drug runner’s aircraft crash, lacking cocaine, and the black bear that ate it, this wild darkish comedy finds an oddball group of cops, criminals, vacationers and teenagers converging in a Georgia forest the place a 500- pound apex predator has ingested a staggering quantity of cocaine and gone on a coke-fueled rampage for extra blow… and blood.

Directed by Elizabeth Banks from a screenplay by Jimmy Warden, Cocaine Bear is produced by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller for Lord Miller, Elizabeth Banks, and Max Handelman for Brownstone Productions, Brian Duffield for Jurassic Party Productions and Aditya Soodfor Lord Miller. The movie is govt produced by Robin Mulcahy Fisichella, Alison Small, and Nikki Baida.

Cocaine Bear opens in theaters on February 24, 2023.
